The service creates tokenized representations of securities held at The Depository Trust Company (DTC), bringing stocks, exchange-traded funds and U.S. Treasuries onto the <a href=\"https:\/\/coinranking.com\/coin\/QyVwfRDkR+cantonnetwork-cc\">Canton Network (CC)<\/a> and DTCC&#039;s own private blockchain network.<\/p>\n<p>DTS is one of the first services to move assets from a major financial market infrastructure onto public blockchain rails at scale. It is live after an SEC authorization in December 2025 and initial limited-production trades completed in 2026, DTCC said in its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dtcc.com\/press-releases\/2026\/dtcc-tokenization-service-goes-live\">launch announcement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>How the Service Works<\/h2>\n<p>DTS mints digital twins of DTC-custodied securities. Eligible users can convert entitlements between traditional and tokenized forms and deliver them to the digital wallet of their choice. The tokenized securities keep the ownership rights, investor protections and economic entitlements of the traditional assets they represent.<\/p>\n<p>The goal is to let investors move assets more efficiently, reach new liquidity pools and mobilize collateral within minutes. DTC has more than $114 trillion in assets under custody, and the SEC authorization covers Russell 1000 constituents, exchange-traded funds tracking major indices and U.S. Treasury securities. The broader theme is real world assets moving onchain, and the Canton Network price chart is where CC trades.<\/p>\n<h2>Who Is Using It<\/h2>\n<p>Twenty DTC Participants have signed agreements to access DTS: Alpaca, Apex Clearing Corporation, Barclays, Bank of America, BNP Paribas, Brown Brothers Harriman, Citadel Securities, Citi, Clear Street, DriveWealth, Edward Jones, Fidelity Investments, Interchange Clearing, J.P. Morgan, Marex, Mirae Asset Securities (USA), Morgan Stanley, State Street, UBS and Velocity Capital. More users will be onboarded on a rolling basis.<\/p>\n<p>DTCC built the service with input from more than 150 firms in its Digital Assets Solutions Industry Working Group. A separate group of collaborators supports connectivity around the service, including BitGo Bank &amp; Trust, Blockdaemon, Broadridge, Fireblocks, Ondo, Prometheum Capital, Talos, Tradeweb and Virtu.<\/p>\n<h2>Multi-Network Design<\/h2>\n<p>DTS uses a multi-network, interoperable model. It is integrated with the Canton Network and DTCC&#039;s private Besu network today, and DTCC plans to add more blockchain networks in 2027. Canton is a layer 1 network built for regulated financial markets, with privacy features that keep transaction details visible only to the parties involved.<\/p>\n<p>Early transactions point to institutional use cases. BNP Paribas acted as lender in an intraday securities lending transaction involving tokenized U.S. Treasuries, and Societe Generale moved $10 million of tokenized U.S. Treasuries as collateral, both on the Canton Network.<\/p>\n<h2>What Comes Next<\/h2>\n<p>DTCC plans to onboard the remaining participants on a rolling basis and expand the set of eligible assets.
