The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission must approve or reject the VanEck JitoSOL ETF by November 15, 2026. The deadline is the statutory limit on the agency's review of Nasdaq's proposal to list the fund. The Commission has no further extension left to use.<\/p>\n

How The Review Reached November 15<\/h2>\n

Nasdaq filed the rule change, SR-NASDAQ-2026-016, on March 10, 2026. The filing was published for comment on March 20, which started the review clock. The SEC extended the initial period in May and instituted proceedings on June 17. On September 9, the agency added a final 60-day period, setting November 15 as the last possible decision date. Nasdaq can still withdraw the filing and refile it to restart the clock.<\/p>\n

What The Fund Would Hold<\/h2>\n

The VanEck JitoSOL ETF is a Delaware statutory trust sponsored by VanEck Digital Assets. Its registration statement on Form S-1<\/a> says the trust would hold JitoSOL, the liquid staking token of Jito (JTO)<\/a> on Solana (SOL). JitoSOL represents SOL deposited with the Jito staking protocol plus the staking rewards that accrue to it. Shares would trade on Nasdaq under its Commodity-Based Trust Shares rules. What The Decision Changes<\/h2>\n

An approval order would be the SEC's first on an exchange-listed fund whose reference asset is a liquid staking token. It would set the reference for similar filings for other staked assets. A rejection would close this filing, and the sponsors would start again from a new rule filing.<\/p>\n
