The Telcoin Network mainnet launch is set for December 2026, with code freeze on November 16, genesis on December 2 and a public launch in mid-December, according to the Telcoin announcement<\/a> on November 6. Telcoin (TEL)<\/a> is the network's staking and gas token. The first batch of validators will be onboarded at the start of the rollout.<\/p>\n

Telcoin Network Mainnet Launch Timetable<\/h2>\n

Telcoin published a three-step schedule. Code freeze comes on November 16, 2026. Genesis, the network's first block, follows on December 2, 2026. The public launch is planned for mid-December 2026. A code freeze locks the network's software so the team can focus on testing before genesis.<\/p>\n

The schedule adds firm dates to a launch that has moved before. Industry coverage from Cointribune noted the mainnet was expected in the first quarter of 2026 and has not launched yet. The Telcoin Association's listing with the GSMA now describes the network as launching in the fourth quarter of 2026.<\/p>\n

Only GSMA Carriers Can Validate<\/h2>\n

Validation on Telcoin Network is restricted to mobile carriers that belong to the GSMA, the global mobile industry body. These operators confirm transactions, stake TEL and earn network fees. The Telcoin Association produces and governs the network, and GSMA operator members harvest TEL issuance and take part in governance based on the TEL they stake.<\/p>\n

Telcoin Network is an EVM-compatible chain, so it supports the same smart contract tooling as Ethereum. It enters a crowded field of layer 1 blockchains<\/a> with a narrow validator set: GSMA describes it as a layer 1 optimized for stablecoin transactions and validated exclusively by mobile network operators.<\/p>\n

What Happens After Genesis<\/h2>\n

The first validators go live at the start of the rollout, with more carriers joining later. The rollout begins with that first validator set rather than a full roster of operators, Telcoin said. TEL is central to network operations: validators stake it, fees are paid in it and issuance is distributed in it. Traders can follow the market response on the Telcoin price chart<\/a>.<\/p>\n
