About Kalshi
Kalshi is a prediction market exchange in the United States, regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Tarek Mansour and Luana Lopes Lara founded it in 2018, and it opened for trading in 2021. Users trade contracts on real-world events, including crypto prices. This page tracks Kalshi trading volume and its markets on Coinranking, next to other prediction market coins and decentralized exchanges.
How does Kalshi work?
Each Kalshi contract asks a yes-or-no question, such as whether Bitcoin will close above a certain price. Contracts trade between 1 and 99 cents and pay $1 if the answer is yes. Prices show what the market thinks the chance is.
What can you trade on Kalshi?
Kalshi lists markets on economics, politics, sports, weather and crypto. See the markets on Kalshi tracked by Coinranking.
What are the Kalshi fees?
Kalshi charges a small trading fee per contract that depends on the price. There is no fee to hold a contract until it settles.
Is Kalshi safe?
Kalshi is a regulated US exchange, and customer funds are held at regulated institutions. It is available in most US states and some other countries, though some states have challenged its sports markets.
