We open sourced our cryptocurrency exchange library

open source

Decentralization is one of the awesome characteristics of cryptocurrencies. All participants are equally created and there is no central authority in the network. And at the foundation of cryptocurrencies? There you find open source software.

And now we proudly announce that Coinranking goes open source! Here you find the npm package. We share a part of our code with you and the rest of the world, as we want technology to benefit as many people as possible. With this trait of decentralization, we want to share back with the rest of the software community and deliver a contribution to the reshaping of our society. So we invite you to our software. You are free to analyze and to copy it in almost any way…

200+ exchanges

We won’t talk too much code here, so shortly said we provide open source code for fetching ticker data from 200+ exchanges in a single format. Use it to make your own dataset for analyzing the market or for machine learning algorithms.

Benefit from it

We believe that open source software is part of the blockchain and cryptocurrency philosophy. Important upsides are:

  • Transparency.
  • We let other developers benefit from our software.
  • It’s more secure.
  • Welcoming space for collaboration.
  • Exchanges are listed faster on Coinranking.
  • Higher data accuracy through public verification.

MIT License

Our Javascript exchange library complies with the MIT license. This means that you can basically do whatever you want as long as you include the original copyright and license notice in any copy of the software/source.
