Playermon (PYM) is the governance and utility token powering the Playermon universe — a space-themed, open-world, play-to-earn NFT game built on the Polygon and Solana blockchains.

Inspired by classic titles like Pokemon and Animal Crossing, Playermon lets players explore galaxies, collect unique creatures called Playermons, and compete in battles — all while earning real digital assets.

History & Background

Playermon was conceptualized in May 2021 by a group of gaming professionals and blockchain enthusiasts who shared a love for classic card and creature-collecting games. Their vision was to combine open-world gameplay with blockchain-backed ownership.

The project officially launched in November 2021 on the Polygon network. The team later expanded the PYM token to the Solana ecosystem, broadening access and leveraging Solana's high throughput and low transaction costs.

How Playermon Works

At its core, Playermon is a creature-collection and battle game where every Playermon is a unique NFT owned by the player. Players can collect, breed, and upgrade their Playermons, then deploy them in turn-based PvP battles or send them on planet-colonization missions.

The game also features a SpaceDen — a virtual home where players nurture their Playermons through feeding and interaction, earning loyalty points and tokens in return. A built-in marketplace allows players to trade Playermons and in-game assets freely.
