To qualify for a tip allowance, users generally need to hold a minimum amount of DEGEN in their connected wallet and maintain an active posting history on Farcaster.

DEGEN is also the native gas token of Degen Chain, a Layer-3 network built on Base using Arbitrum Orbit technology. This L3 allows developers to build applications with extremely low transaction costs.
