About PancakeSwap

PancakeSwap is the largest decentralized exchange (DEX) on BNB Chain. It launched in 2020 and now also runs on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base and other networks. Besides swaps it offers yield farming, CAKE staking, a prediction market and token launches. How does PancakeSwap work?

You connect a wallet and swap tokens against liquidity pools, with no account or KYC. Liquidity providers deposit token pairs and earn a share of the trading fees. PancakeSwap v3 adds concentrated liquidity, and v4 adds customizable pools.

Pool fees range from 0.01% to 1% depending on the pool. On v2 pools a swap costs 0.25%. Network fees on BNB Chain are low.
