Bybit

Bybit is a centralized crypto exchange known for derivatives trading, with a large spot market as well. Ben Zhou founded it in March 2018, and it now serves tens of millions of users. Where is Bybit located?

Bybit is headquartered in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. Its main company is registered in the British Virgin Islands. Bybit does not serve users in the United States, and some products are limited in other countries.

What coins can you trade on Bybit?

Bybit lists hundreds of coins for spot trading, plus USDT and USDC perpetuals, inverse contracts, options and tokenized stocks. You can see all coins listed on Bybit, and the new listings on Bybit page shows each coin the exchange added most recently. Other products include copy trading, trading bots, Bybit Earn and a crypto card.

What are the Bybit fees?

Spot trading starts at 0.10% for makers and takers. Futures fees start at 0.02% maker and 0.055% taker. VIP levels lower both. Crypto deposits are free.

Is Bybit safe?

In February 2025 hackers stole about $1.5 billion in ETH from a Bybit cold wallet, the largest crypto hack so far. Bybit covered the loss with its own funds and partner loans, and user withdrawals kept working. It publishes proof-of-reserves reports for user assets.

Bybit compared with other exchanges

Bybit competes most directly with Binance trading volume and Bitget trading volume for futures traders. Like most large platforms, it has no exchange token of its own for fee discounts.
