Short answer: Before you buy a crypto guest post, check eight things: authority, real traffic, indexing, topic fit, how posts are labeled, link terms, permanence and turnaround. A site that fails two or more is usually not worth the price.
Crypto guest post offers are everywhere. Some are great. Many are sites built only to sell links. A bad placement wastes money and can even weaken your link profile.
Here is the checklist we suggest to every buyer, including ours.
The 8-point checklist
1. Authority
Look up the site’s Domain Authority (Moz) or Domain Rating (Ahrefs). Higher scores mean links carry more weight.
But don’t stop here. Authority scores can be pushed up with low-quality links.
2. Real traffic
Check traffic estimates in a tool like Similarweb or Semrush. A site with high authority but almost no visitors is a warning sign.
Also ask: where does the traffic come from? Search traffic from many countries is a healthy sign.
3. Indexing
Search Google for site: plus the site’s blog address. Then search for the titles of a few recent guest posts.
If recent posts don’t show up, your post probably won’t either.
4. Topic fit
A crypto link should come from a crypto site. A general site that mixes fashion, health and crypto posts gives weaker signals.
5. Labels
Look at existing guest posts. How are they marked? Sponsored, contributor or press release?
Know the label before you pay, so the post fits your goal. Our guide to sponsored vs organic posts explains the difference.
6. Link terms
Ask how many links you get, whether they are do-follow and if you can pick the anchor text.
7. Permanence
Some sites delete guest posts after a year. Ask for “permanent” in writing.
8. Turnaround and editing
How long until your post goes live? Can you change a link later, and what does it cost?
Red flags
- Every post on the site has external links to unrelated businesses
- No author names, no editorial team, no contact page
- Prices far below market, like $20 for a “high authority” link
- Recent posts are missing from Google
- No clear guidelines for content quality

FAQ
Is Domain Authority enough to judge a site?
No. Combine it with real traffic and indexing checks. A score alone can be misleading.
How many guest post sites should I use?
Fewer, better sites beat many weak ones. Pick a handful of strong, relevant sites and build from there.
Should I avoid sites that label posts as sponsored?
No. Clear labels are a sign of an honest site. Choose the label that fits your content.
