What is the difference between EWT and EWTB?: EWT is the native token of the Energy Web Chain, while EWTB is an ERC-20 version of EWT that lives on the Ethereum Mainnet. They represent the same underlying asset and can be converted back and forth via a bridge.
How is EWTB created?: EWTB is minted on Ethereum when a user bridges their native EWT from the Energy Web Chain. The EWT is locked in a smart contract on the Energy Web Chain, and an equivalent amount of EWTB is issued on Ethereum at a 1:1 ratio.
Can EWTB be converted back to EWT?: Yes, EWTB can be bridged back to the Energy Web Chain at any time, at which point the EWTB is burned and the equivalent EWT is unlocked and returned to the user.
