About Osmosis

Osmosis is the main decentralized exchange (DEX) of the Cosmos ecosystem. It launched in 2021 as its own appchain and connects to dozens of blockchains through the Inter-Blockchain Communication protocol (IBC). This page tracks Osmosis trading volume, its pools and the tokens it lists in real time, compared with other decentralized exchanges.

How does Osmosis work?

You connect a Cosmos wallet such as Keplr and swap tokens against liquidity pools, with no account. Osmosis supports classic pools, stable pools and concentrated liquidity. Superfluid staking lets liquidity providers stake OSMO in their pools at the same time.

What tokens can you swap on Osmosis?

Osmosis lists tokens from the Cosmos ecosystem and bridged assets such as BTC, ETH and USDC. See all tokens traded on Osmosis and the Osmosis markets.

What are the Osmosis fees?

Swap fees depend on the pool and are usually between 0.1% and 0.3%. Network fees on Osmosis are very low.

Is Osmosis safe?

Osmosis contracts are audited, and you keep control of your funds. In 2022 a liquidity pool bug was found and fixed, and the chain was paused briefly. Check pool liquidity before large swaps.
